SANPETE COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Sanpete County man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly kicked his girlfriend’s dog, which led to its death.

A probable cause statement from the 6th District Court of Manti said Spencer Whitaker Tuttle, 39, is facing a charge of class A misdemeanor aggravated cruelty to animals — intentional or knowingly.

The probable cause statement said two deputies responded to an address in Marksville Road in Sanpete County on a report of possible vandalism.

“On arrival we met with Spencer Tuttle, who stated he had gotten mad and kicked his girlfriend’s dog, which killed the dog,” the statement said. “Tuttle called his girlfriend telling her something happened, he kicked the dog and the dog was not moving.”

Tuttle was booked into Sanpete County Jail with his bail set at $1,950.
