SANDY, Utah, Dec. 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Seven people were transported to the hospital Saturday night after a car ran a red light and struck another vehicle at 10600 S. Interstate 15.
The crash occurred at about 9:15 p.m., when an eastbound Chevrolet passenger car failed to stop at the red light and hit a westbound vehicle, Detective Jones, with the Sandy Police Department, told Gephardt Daily.
She said seven people were transported with minor injuries. Police do not suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
“It’s a busy intersection,” Jones said. “People get in a hurry and this is what happens.”
