Shots Fired in Salt Lake City; Four Suspects Arrested

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 6, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – SLCPD officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the area of 200 West and Mead Avenue, Friday, July 3 at 9:09 a.m.

Information was obtained that four suspects had left the area in a white Mazda. Officers later observed the vehicle fleeing the area at 1300 S. West Temple Street. Two occupants fled from the vehicle near 1500 South and were located hiding in the neighborhood by patrol officers. The vehicle continued to flee from officers and eventually stopped near 1000 West as the driver and passenger attempted to flee on foot. Officers took them into custody without incident. Officers booked Veronica Lopez, 19, Anthony Martinez, 19, and Frank Deras, 18, into jail. One juvenile was booked into juvenile detention.
