SLCo Sheriff officials, SAR crews respond to report of person struck by lightning, fell at Twin Peaks

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, July 18, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake County Sheriff officials and Search and Rescue crews have responded to the scene after a report of someone at Twin Peaks who was struck by lightning and fell.

“We do not have confirmation on the individual’s condition,” SLCSO spokesman Chris Bronson told Gephardt Daily.

“The operation is still ongoing, and we have no further information at this time.”

The call reportedly came in a little before 1 p.m. Saturday.
