WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 23, 2026 — A crash shut down traffic Mountain View Corridor early Saturday near Old Bingham Highway, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
UDOT reported the crash at approximately 2:31 a.m. on southbound state Route 85 at milepost 14 in southwestern Salt Lake County. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency crews responded.
Information on possible injuries, the number of vehicles involved or what may have caused the crash has yet to be released..
Traffic in the area was expected to be impacted for several hours.
