St. George police investigating fatal hit-run seek public’s help

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Dec. 10, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in St. George are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred Saturday night.

According to a police news release, the St. George Communication Center received a call at about 8 p.m. reporting a fatal hit-and-run accident in the area of Biolife and Dairy Queen on Dixie Drive.

A female was pushing a cart on the east side of Dixie Drive when she was hit by a vehicle, the release states.

Police say that, based on evidence at the scene, the vehicle sustained front-end damage, but was able to leave the area.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information about this incident is asked to call police dispatch at 435-627-4300.

Tonight, at approximately 8:00 PM, the St. George Communications Center received a call of a fatal hit and run accident involving a female pedestrian in the area of Biolife and Dairy Queen on Dixie Drive. It appears the female was pushing a cart on the east side of Dixie Drive when she was hit by a vehicle. Evidence on scene suggests the vehicle sustained front-end damage, but was able to leave the scene.
