Suspects In Custody In Connection With Orem Drive-by Shooting And Stabbing

OREM, UTAH – September 21, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Orem City Police have arrested four men in connection with a stabbing and drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 16.

Orem Police said the stabbing happened just after midnight when a man was seriously injured after getting into a fight with three men in the area of 600 North Main.

A few hours later, around 3:30 a.m., in the same area near 600 North Monterey Drive, police responded to a drive by shooting where a home was shot at several times.

There were six adults inside the home, and Orem police have identified them as individuals involved in the earlier confrontation with the stabbing victim.

Ricardo Plascencia, 24, Tyrell Walker and Chance Pulotu-Manutai, both 18, and Alejandro Demery, were later questioned by police and booked into the Utah County Jail on multiple charges including a third-degree felony charge for rioting that caused bodily injury, a class B misdemeanor charge for assault, and class A misdemeanor charge for gang enhanced assault.

There were no injuries reported in the drive by shooting.
