Man in Layton Attempts to Lure Girl Into Truck

LAYTON, UTAH – APRIL 24, 2015 (GEHPARDT DAILY) – Police in Layton are searching for a suspect who attempted to lure an elementary aged girl into his truck Friday morning.

According to police a suspicious truck was seen in the area of 875 E. Creekside in Layton around 8:45 a.m. The driver allegedly stopped and asked an elementary student if she needed a ride to school. The girl did the right thing refusing to get in the truck and running away.

The truck was described as green in color with rolls of carpet in the bed, the words “Do It Right” on the door.

The driver of the truck was described as a white male, bald, approximately 30 years of age.

Police would like to find the driver and interview this person to find out more about the incident. If anyone knows this company “Do It Right”, or who lives in the area and has any information regarding the truck and it’s driver, please call Layton Police at (801) 497-8300 and reference case 15-06520.
