RIVERDALE, Utah, Jan. 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Thieves racked up a total of $13,000 in fraudulent purchases after stealing a wallet from a shopping cart in a Riverdale TJ Maxx, police said.
Lt. Casey Warren with Riverdale Police said the victim was distracted by one of the suspects while another suspect stole the victim’s wallet.
“One male and two females were captured on surveillance leaving TJ Maxx together after stealing the wallet,” Warren said. “Approximately $13,000 of fraudulent purchases were made on the victim’s credit card at various stores throughout Northern Utah.”
The suspects purchased primarily Apple computers and laptops. Anyone who recognizes any of the three individuals involved is asked to call Riverdale Police at 801-629-8221.
