COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah, March 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Two boys who went missing from Las Vegas are believed to be somewhere in the Salt Lake Valley, according to Cottonwood Heights Police.

A news released issued by CHP said that Benjamin Peterson, 16, and his 12-year-old brother, Bryant Peterson, were last seen with their mother in Las Vegas in the area of Fort Apache and Gilmore.

On March 10, police learned one of the boys likely was in the Cottonwood Heights or Midvale area, based on a post to one of his social media accounts.

Officials believe the two are seeking shelter in the valley. Local police, who are assisting officers in Las Vegas, are looking for the boys. Based on the circumstances, the boys are considered endangered.

Benjamin is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall and 150 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans and a white hoodie, and possibly carrying a backpack. He has his ears and lips pierced.

Bryant is described as 5-feet-2-inches tall, 95 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He was last known to be wearing a pink polo shirt and khaki pants.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the brothers to call dispatch at 801-840-4000. If you see the boys, officers ask that you call 911.
