SPANISH FORK, Utah, April 28, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Metro SWAT will conduct an active shooter drill in Spanish Fork Sunday evening.

A tweet from Utah County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon said the drill will take place at Diamond Fork Junior High, 900 E. Center St., at 9:30 p.m. The tweet added the drill may begin earlier.

The drill is part of the SWAT team’s annual “Hell Week” training. The Utah County Sheriff’s SWAT web page said all members have to successfully complete a basic SWAT school called “Hell Week” before they can be considered for the team. “Hell Week is similar to basic training put on by the military,” the page said.
