Utah COVID-19 update: 174 new cases, 2 more deaths in past day

UTAH, June 7, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Monday reported 174 new COVID-19 cases and two additional deaths documented in the past day.

Total Utah cases now stand at 407,816.

Documented deaths from coronavirus here remain at 2,313.

The two who died were:

  • A male, between 45-64, Cache county resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • A male, between 25-44, Utah county resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations given number 2,650,067, an increase of 3,612 since Sunday.

Vaccine administrations by all providers, sorted by patient residence

 

People tested in Utah for COVID-19 number 2,715,884, an increase of 2,632 in the past day.

Tests administered number 4,966,468, an increase of 3,943 tests since Sunday’s numbers were released.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 236 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.2%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.0%.

There are 127 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,952.
