Utah, Jan. 1, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Utah man is facing a first-degree aggravated robbery charge after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a victim he had repeatedly punched in the face.

Jonathan Deric Crow, 34, is also facing a charge of class B misdemeanor assault, according to a probable cause statement from the 3rd District Court of Salt Lake City.

Crow was arrested Sunday at 6:05 a.m., the probable cause statement said.

“Jonathan Crow was taking the victim to his home address when he started to drive aggressively,” the statement said. “Jonathan continued to slam on his brakes during the entirety of the drive while punching the victim in the head/face. Jonathan told the victim multiple times to get out of the vehicle while he came to complete stops after slamming on his brakes.”

Crow then made the victim exit the car in front of victim’s residence.

“Jonathan then sped away with victim’s car after victim had requested multiple times for Jonathan to pull over so victim could call him a cab,” the statement goes on.

Crow was arrested and booked into Salt Lake County Jail with his bail set at $20,000.
