Utah National Guard warns of live-fire exercises beginning Tuesday

BLUFFDALE, Utah, Oct. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah National Guard is warning residents living near Camp Williams in Bluffdale that live-fire exercises will be conducted beginning Tuesday.

A press release states the 640th Regiment will conduct three live-fire artillery exercises that will go from 7 a.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“Given the nature of these exercises, artillery fire will occur sporadically throughout the day, beginning at approximately 7 a.m. and ending approximately 9 p.m.,” the release added.

There will also be live-fire exercises Nov. 20 though Nov. 22, the press release said.

Those expected to be most affected by these events are residents of Bluffdale, Riverton, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs and Lehi, the release said.
