Utah Skydiver Critically Injured In Parachute Collapse
ERDA, UTAH – July 13, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily) – A Utah skydiver was critically injured Sunday when his parachute collapsed during a jump in Tooele County.
According to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office, Trevor Sandburg, 20, of Sandy, Utah, was skydiving near the Erda Airport around 4:30 p.m. when his chute suddenly failed sending him falling 200 feet to the ground.
First responders say Sandburg was conscious and talking after the incident.
He was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in critical condition with a broken leg and pelvis.
