WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – June 26, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Three local teenagers decided they wanted to make a difference so they banded together, prepared 150 sack lunches and headed down to Pioneer Park and handed them out to complete strangers.

“The real reason I did this was because I love watching people smile. I love helping others because it brings this positive vibe,” said Jose Bache DlTorre, 16, of West Valley City. “This experience was amazing honestly! It makes you happy and it’s uplifting.”

Jose and his two friends, Jordan Atkinson, 15, and Matthew Martins, 16, also helped put the lunches together and the three of them went together to deliver them among the dozens of homeless people.

In total, they spent 6 hours preparing and then delivering the meals to the park. They took a camera with them and captured several moments in touching the lives to people they had never met.

Jose and his friends have had a lot of positive reaction to their spur of the moment venture and they all feel it was worth it. Jose said he loved the reactions of the lives they just touched “Some of the reactions were speechlessness and some were just smiles and happiness!”
