SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 24, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A water main break near 1300 South disrupted Utah Transit Authority’s TRAX light rail service Monday evening, triggering system-wide delays and prompting the activation of a bus bridge between Central Pointe and 900 South stations.

UTA first reported the incident at 6:58 p.m., warning riders to expect delays of up to 25 minutes across the TRAX network. By 8:30 p.m., the agency updated the delay estimate to 30 minutes and confirmed the continued use of the bus bridge to help transport passengers between the affected stations.

In a final update at 10:46 p.m., UTA advised riders that delays of up to 30 minutes would persist through the end of service Monday and that the bus bridge would remain in effect throughout the day Tuesday.

Passengers seeking more information are encouraged to contact UTA Customer Service at 801-743-3882.
