Weber Fire District rescues injured hunter; victim air lifted to area hospital

LIBERTY, Utah, Sept. 29, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber Fire District responded to a call of an injured hunter Tuesday afternoon, and prepared the man for air transport to an hospital.

“Yesterday at approximately 12:24pm, Station 62 Crew responded to an injured hunter in the Liberty area,” says a statement issued Wednesday by Weber Fire District.

“Upon arrival, crews assessed the man and prepared him to be hoisted off the mountain by Life Flight. Life Fight landed off the mountain and the man was transported by Weber MA-65 To McKay Dee Hospital.”

The hunter had fallen in camp, the statement says, “and had substantial neck injuries.”
