WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – May 26, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily) – Police in West Valley City say a 28-year old woman who had arranged to meet a man at a storage unit to allegedly buy drugs ended up being locked inside the unit for whole two days.

Lt. Jeff Conger of West Valley City Police Department says the woman claims she was drugged by the alleged dealer and then held against her will at 3498 S. 1400 West for 48 hours before she was able to escape. She fled to a local hospital and authorities were notified.

WVCPD was contacted yesterday, Tuesday, at approximately 4:15 p.m. by a local hospital regarding a woman who reported that she was held for two days against her will and sexually assaulted several times. The woman told investigators that she had gone to meet with a man on Sunday in the area of the storage sheds. The woman reported that she was given a drink which caused her to lose consciousness. The woman told investigators that when she woke up, her hands and feet were bound and she was being sexually assaulted by the man. The woman said she was kept in the storage shed until Tuesday morning when she was able to free her hands and escape while the man was not inside the shed. The woman then went to the hospital.
Detectives have interviewed the suspect in the case.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail on unrelated charges.
At this point detectives are working this investigation and evaluating the evidence.  When all the evidence has been evaluated they will present the case to the District Attorney’s Office for the screening of charges.
