Police search for suspect after shooting at West Valley City party

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Dec. 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was shot at a party in West Valley City early Monday morning.

Initial reports indicate police were called just before 6:40 a.m. to an address near 2500 W. Robin Road (about 3150 South) after the shooting victim was driven to Jordan Valley Medical Center’s West Valley Campus with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the hip.

Employees at the medical center told police about the gunshot victim, who is in fair condition.

Police secured the area and searched the home but found the suspect already had fled.

Officials said they have information on a possible suspect but are not releasing further details as they continue to search for that person.
