Fatal Crash Closes Part Of Redwood Road
WEST JORDAN, March 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily)— A fatal crash closed part of Redwood Road in West Jordan Tuesday morning.
One person died and two others were injured in the crash that sent a car into a drainage canal.
West Jordan police said it appears the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light on Redwood Road at 8200 South, collided with two other cars, sending one of them hundreds of feet down the road and into a dry drainage canal.
A man inside the car that went into the canal died in the accident. A woman inside that car was injured. The driver of the pickup also had minor injuries, police said.
There are five to 15 minute delays on Redwood Road northbound from 9000 South to 7800 South, according to UDOT, and delays can be expected until noon today.
