As the Warriors prepare for Game 6 of the NBA Finals, it was that coach, Alvin Gentry, keeping his players loose by showing off his leaping ability.

After losing his grip on his first attempt, Gentry sprinted to the hoop, left the ground, placed one foot on the back wall padding and slammed the basketball through the goal. The Warriors players went bonkers as the ball fell to the ground.

Gentry, 60, had the dunk documented by fellow assistant coach Jarron Collins. Collins wrote on his Instagram: “Age ain’t nothing but a number. Alvin “skywalker” Gentry still getting up to throw down. @warriors#DubNation”

The Warriors lead the Cleveland Cavaliers 3-2 in the NBA Finals series. Game 6 tips off at 9 p.m. in Cleveland.

Gentry was hired by the Pelicans in May after Monty Williams was fired after going 173-221 in five seasons.

Gentry has a career record of 335-370 in 12 seasons as a head coach in the NBA.
