Viral Photo Shows Girl, 2, Covered in Paint After Dip in Bucket
AURORA, Colo., July 10 (UPI) — A Colorado mom made suspicious by the “scary quiet” in her home went to find her 2-year-old and discovered the toddler had dipped herself in a bucket of paint.
Aurora mother Victoria Farmer said she was nursing her newborn son Tuesday when she realized there was a “scary quiet” instead of the usual steady stream of noise coming from her 2-year-old daughter, Anistyn.
She discovered Anistyn was covered from her neck down in white paint.
“It was horrible,” Farmer told KMGH-TV of the Tuesday incident. “She [apparently] got into the bucket and submerged herself.”
Farmer wrote on Facebook:
“Now that it’s been a few hours I can laugh, but at the time I was about to have a meltdown haha it took nearly two hours to clean. I was nursing Madox in the next room and realized it was scary quiet so I set him down and when I walked in she just stood there like a statue. It looks like she just climbed right in and went for a swim. Cleaning her was the easy part. Cleaning it off the fireplace before it set in was the scary part. Plus it’s a discontinued paint on the fireplace and our house is going on the market in a week so the timing was pretty incredible.”
Farmer said Anistyn has had previous body-coloring run-ins with sharpies, finger paints and water colors.
“I look like an irresponsible parent, but she’s just really quick,” Farmer said. “I feel like I should make a book of her insane things.”
