GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 21 (UPI) — A Michigan meteorologist using a live stream from an outdoor camera during his report was interrupted by what appeared to be a giant spider catching breakfast.

Garry Frank, a meteorologist for WXMI-TV, was using a live video feed of the sunrise from a camera atop the River House building in Grand Rapids when the giant image of a spider came into view on the live stream behind him.

“That’s not a cloud!” Frank said when the giant spider image — actually a normal-sized spider crawling directly on the lens — appeared.

Frank decided to let the camera continue to play for a moment.

“But we’ll just kinda sit here and watch this guy,” Frank said. “He’s gonna catch one of these flies.”

The meteorologist offered the spider some encouragement as it lunged toward a fly.

“That’s an impressive spider. Get him! Yeah! Got him!” Frank said.
