Swiss Engineering: Carpenters Open Five Beers at Once
ZURICH, Switzerland, June 10 (UPI) — A group of Zurich carpenters showed Swiss engineering is good for more than just watches by rigging a group of rulers together to open five beers at once.
Christoph Nick posted a video to YouTube showing members of the Handwerkskollektiv, a cooperative dedicated to carpentry and painting, bracing their five beers in the shape of a star with a member holding five rulers in the middle.
The man holding the rulers pushes down, causing all five beer bottles to open at once with quartz-like precision.
A Facebook post by the group says the men were participating in a traditional construction celebration called an “Aufrichtefest.”
