Police ID victim, suspect in Willard homicide

WILLARD, Utah, Nov. 1, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in a garage in Willard Wednesday morning.

Officials have identified the victim as Cody D. Henderson, 27, of Ohio. According to reports, he was in the area for personal business. He died from blunt-force trauma, officers said.

The suspect taken into custody in Idaho is 25-year-old Chay Blair, who was living in the home where Henderson’s body was found.

Chief Deputy Dale Ward with Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office said officials were called to a residence, at 435 S. Main St., at approximately 9 a.m.

The city of Willard, which has a population of approximately 1,700, is seven miles south of Brigham City.
