LINDON, Utah, Dec. 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An emergency boil order put in place Friday for Lindon City after a lab sample tested positive for E.coli has been lifted.
A Facebook post Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. said: “Lindon City Boil Advisory order has been LIFTED. Please see attached instructions (posted below) for flushing home and business plumbing prior to drinking the water. Please share on Facebook and help inform others who may not receive this info through news or digital media.”
During the weekend, the system was chlorinated and flushed, and the city took samples.
A post on the Facebook page Sunday said: “Chlorine has been introduced at tanks, wells, and at specific sections of the main lines through fire hydrants. Sampling began Friday night and continued about every 12 hours. However, samples done Friday were not heavily impacted by chlorine and still showed issues. Sample results from Saturday have been received. Additional samples were taken today [Sunday] and further samples will be taken over the next few weeks. We’re flushing the lines again tonight and testing chlorine residuals.”
