SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are looking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a shooting took place Sunday outside a downtown bar.
Lt. Scott Smalley from the Salt Lake City Police Department said the shooting occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. outside the Circle Lounge at 328 S. State St. An altercation began outside the Wasted Space bar at 342 S. State St.
Smalley said a man was shot twice in both thighs and was transported by ground ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He added that the victim is not really cooperating with police at this time.
The suspect is described Hispanic, heavy set, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, and between 220 and 240 pounds.
