SANDY, Utah, June 10, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A 69-year-old man was taken to a hospital in critical condition Monday evening after being hit by a car while crossing the street.
The man was walking west in a crosswalk at the intersection of 10600 South and 1300 East about 8:23 p.m. when a vehicle turning right from 10600 South onto 1300 East hit him, Sandy police told Gephardt Daily.
The man was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. Police say there were no signs of impairment.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
