LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) — Actor Adam Baldwin has quit social media site Twitter over its alleged censorship of conservative ideas.

The “Last Ship actor,” who had about a quarter of a million followers on the microblogging platform, deleted hist tweet history Monday, leaving just one message calling for the exit of CEO Jack Dorsey and disbandment of the company’s Trust and Safety Council.

“Twitter is dead to me,” Baldwin, who also appeared on the SyFy show “Firefly,” told the Independent Journal. “I’m going to find greener pastures elsewhere and I’m not coming back.”

Baldwin went on to explain his issue with Twitter stems directly from “so-called ‘liberal thinkers and the so-called ‘tolerant crowd,'” who have allegedly worked to silence conservative messages on the site.

“They’re so afraid to hear people disagree with them,” he said. “Instead of ignoring it or providing their own arguments in return, they say ‘shut up!”

Baldwin linked to a recent article in The Federalist in his last tweet which covers the alleged unexplained suspension of conservative blogger Robert Stacy’s Twitter account. Stacy is known as a popular conservative Internet presence and “dogged critic of feminism,” according to the article.
