FARR WEST, Utah, Nov. 16, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 10-year-old girl was rushed to the emergency room after being pulled unconscious and not breathing from a swimming pool in Farr West early Saturday night.

Weber Fire District Battalion Chief Mark Lund told Gephardt Daily that family members who were with the girl at the indoor pool, near 2000 West and 2700 North, pulled her out and immediately began CPR while someone called 911.

Weber Fire crews arrived and took over life-saving measures. They transported the young girl to Pleasant View, where the nearest emergency room is available. Her condition was considered extremely serious and unstable.

Lund said a helicopter was called and was ready to take the girl to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City if needed.

No further information was available Saturday night regarding the girl’s condition or what may have preceded the near drowning.

Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as more information becomes available.
