PROVO, UTAH – November 12, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The Provo Police Department has announced the award for providing information that helps to find missing woman Elizabeth Elena Laguna Salgado has been increased to $50,000.
A local company has added the additional funds to double the reward.
The police said they appreciate tips that have been called in so far, and are cataloging and aggressively investigating all leads.
Salgado was last seen nearly seven months ago, on April 16, and in the months since she disappeared, family, friends and strangers have come together to help find her.
The family, with the help of El Mero, a bilingual news source, have made videos begging possible captors to let her go. This summer, the family took a trip to California to meet with Facebook in a combined effort to spread the word internationally.
Salgado is described by police as 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 5 inches tall, 120 to 130 lbs., with long black hair and brown eyes.
Detectives say she was last seen wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans with black or brown knee high boots. She was reportedly carrying a denim handbag with red straps.
Anyone information regarding Elizabeth is asked to contact the Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
