NORTH OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 13, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Evacuation orders are in effect for North Ogden residents living in the area of 1050 East and north of 2850 North due to a fire on the mountain side, according to social media posts by North Ogden Police.
“If you are told to evacuate, please follow the direction of local officials and leave immediately. The public is strongly encouraged to avoid the area.”
The #WillardPeakFire, first known as the #NorthOgdenFire, started at about 3 p.m., and was sparked by a vehicle fire, Utah Fire Info says. It was “burning in flashy fine fuels and gamble oak,” and was zero % containment as of 5 p.m.
“Ground crews are actively engaged, while aircraft try to continue to slow the fire’s progression.”
A 6:54 p.m. update said the fire was estimated at 200 acres.
