Salt Lake City police search for suspect after credit union robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect after a credit union on Redwood Road was robbed Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the American United Federal Credit Union at 1377 S. Redwood Road just before 3 p.m., according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

“A man entered the credit union, approached the tellers and demanded cash from the drawers,” the news release said. “He had his hand in his pocket and intimated he had a gun.”

The man then fled the scene in a blue four-door small sedan.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, with blue eyes and dirty blond hair, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a white mask with red and green squares over the eye holes and a gray hoodie.
