EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah, Aug. 23, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 30-year-old Eagle Mountain woman was found dead in a pickup truck outside her home early Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shaelean Eliot Childs, Utah County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon said in a news release.

UCSO deputies and Unified Fire Authority paramedics responded to a report of a woman near the city center in Eagle Mountain who was found unconscious and not breathing in a pickup truck shortly after 3 a.m., the news release said.

“The woman’s fiancé told dispatchers she had gone outside several hours earlier and he had gone to bed,” the news release said. “The woman was found on the floor of the pickup truck on the passenger side.”

Investigators learned that the woman had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol, and may also have taken medications which were prescribed to her, officials said.

Her body has been taken to the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner in Taylorsville to determine an official cause of death. The circumstances, at this point, are not suspicious, the news release said.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
