Fans heading to Real Salt Lake soccer game Friday can also receive vaccine

SANDY, Utah, May 7, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Real Salt Lake soccer team plays the San Jose Earthquakes at Rio Tinto Stadium Friday evening– and fans can get vaccinated if they choose.

Fans can receive the vaccine at the Zions Bank Real Academy at 14787 Academy Parkway in Herriman, which is southwest of the stadium, until 8 p.m.

The vaccine is free and no appointments are required. Anyone 16 or older can be vaccinated.

RSL continues its three-game home stretch against the San Jose Earthquakes in a game which begins at 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast live locally on KMYU.

The team has won its first two matches of the season for just the third time in club history and the first since 2012. The club-record winning streak to start a season came in 2011 when RSL won its first four regular-season matches.
