WEST JORDAN, Utah, March 9, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man accused of several counts of using another person’s credit card was arrested Thursday night by West Jordan Police Department detectives.

According to a WJPD Facebook post, Landen Warr is suspected of stealing mail from Utahns’ mailboxes to gather personal information on “hundreds of victims” in order “to obtain credit cards and whatever else he deems he needs.”

It’s believed Warr was going out at night to help himself to as much mail as he could find in unlocked mailboxes.

Police say Warr made purchases of “everything from high dollar tools to food items at local gas stations.”

They referred to him as an “identity theft expert/specialist.”

Residents are advised to bring in their mail as soon as possible and to shred any unwanted forms or letters that contain personal information or that could be used to obtain credit fraudulently.

Police said they “will be visiting a lot of folks to return their mail.”
