JUAB COUNTY, June 21, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Iron Fire, burning in Juab County, Utah County and Tooele County, has now been mapped at 21,935 acres.
An incoming team has been briefed on conditions and what to expect, says a Utah Fire Info post issued at 11:09 a.m.
“Firefighters continue securing the perimeter near Eureka,” the update says.
“Evacuations remain in place.”
An update earlier on Sunday says “a successful backburn operation helped protect the town overnight, and no primary structures were lost.” The fire was zero percent contained, the statement said. The Iron Fire is human caused, and was discovered Friday.
