BOUNTIFUL, Utah, June 22, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Firefighters battled a brush fire along I-15 Sunday afternoon, controlling the roadside blaze as motorists looked on.
South Davis Metro Fire was able to fight the smokey brush fire apparently without having to divert or otherwise disrupt freeway traffic, according to a video and photos the agency posted Sunday night.
“A busy Father’s Day for C shift,” South Davis Metro said. Starting off with a shed fire that quickly spread to a neighboring shed.”
In the afternoon, firefighters contained a small brush fire along I-15 adjacent to the Bountiful area near Exit 322.
Less than two hours later, crews responded to the Bountiful Peak area for an ATV accident.
The agency reported no injuries from its busy day.
“Please use extra caution as we enter a crucial time for extra diligence while driving, maintaining yards, or recreating this summer,”
