Man Killed In Ogden Shooting Identified

OGDEN, Utah, May 7, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 29-year-old man killed in a Friday afternoon shooting in Ogden has been identified.

Ogden Police found Miguel Angel Rios with multiple gunshot wounds after they were called to a residence in the 500 block of 31st Street. Rios was transported by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Two suspects were spotted running from the home to a residence in the 3000 block of Porter Ave. A search warrant was served to the home by the Ogden Metro SWAT Team, and two suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Weber County Jail.

Devin Smith, 18, was booked for felony criminal homicide, obstruction of justice and possession of a firearm by restricted person.

Jeremy Moncada, 18, was booked for felony obstruction of justice and possession of a firearm by restricted person.

Both suspects have a documented gang history and the suspects believed the victim claimed a rival gang.
