West Valley Man Wounded In Overnight Shooting
WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – July 8, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily) –
Police are on the lookout for two assailants after a 20-year-old man was shot while walking with his girlfriend near 4800 W. and Odell Avenue early Wednesday morning.
According to Lt. Jeff Conger of West Valley P.D., the suspects approached the couple while driving a dark colored hatchback. There was an exchange of words, including questions about gang affiliations, followed by five or six gunshots.
The 20-year-old man was hit in the legs. He was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
The 17-year old girlfriend was uninjured in the shooting.
Police say the suspects remain at large.
