MONTE CRISTO, UTAH – June 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A fatal motorcycle occurred at Mile Marker 33 on SR39 near Monte Cristo, on Sunday, June 28, at 10:08 a.m. The operator of a black Honda CBS 1000, lost control on a curve, slid off the roadway, and end up about 80 feet down an embankment in a rocky ravine.

The subject was riding with a group of individuals, one of which stopped to help render aid. The first arriving deputy along with medical personnel also administered CPR but the subject was pronounced dead when Life Flight arrived.

The individual has been identified as Boonma Sutan, 47 years-old, of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Boonma had been traveling from Las Vegas to Utah to purchase the motorcycle. After buying the bike, he and some friends decided to go on a ride over Monte Cristo before he returned home.

Boonma was wearing a helmet but he appeared to have suffered extensive injuries.

A deputy who specializes in accident-reconstruction was called to the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation but it is suspected that speed may have played a role.
