Police searching for suspects after shots fired near Salt Lake City home

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect or suspects after shots were fired outside a home in Salt Lake City Saturday morning.

The incident occurred in the area of 1534 S. 1000 West just before 11:25 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“The residents in the area heard gunshots fired on the street in front of their home,” the news release said. “Officers responded and found five shell casings on the ground. Officers checked the area without finding damage to the homes or property.”

There is no suspect information at this time, the news release said.
