Roy police seek public’s help identifying driver who fled traffic stop

ROY, Utah, March 18, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who fled after being stopped for speeding in a residential neighborhood.

A news release from Roy City Police Department says the incident occurred Monday in the subdivision near Valley View Elementary School.

In the news release, police pointed out that “evading is a felony and we would like to talk to him about it.”

The man was driving a tan-colored Toyota 4 Runner with dealer plates.

The photo was taken by the officer’s body camera before the man fled. It appears to show a tattoo on the top of his left hand and possibly on his upper-right bicep.
