Salt Lake police respond to report of shots fired

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police responded to a report of shots fired Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the area of 1300 S. State St. just before 3:45 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“Officers responded to a report of shots fired near the above intersection,” the statement said. “Officers contacted involved parties in the area and learned a physical altercation had occurred. One of the individuals involved in the altercation got into a dark colored sedan and fired several shots, then fled the scene.”

The suspect was not located, nor was anyone willing to say they were a victim, officials said.
