Police searching for men suspected of stealing cash box from Murray motel

MURRAY, Utah, Sept. 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for two men suspected of stealing a cash box from a night clerk in a Murray motel in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Murray Police Department Officer Kenny Bass told Gephardt Daily the two suspects entered the Sandman Motel at 5754 S. State Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.

They demanded cash and were given the cash box, Bass said.

No weapons were seen and the clerk was not injured in the course of the incident.

The two suspects then fled in a late 90s or early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe, Bass said. One suspect is described as Caucasian and about 6 feet tall, while the other is described as black, and wearing a camouflage print T-shirt.
