Man arrested after aggravated assault in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials arrested a suspect after an aggravated assault in Salt Lake City in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident occurred in the area of 136 W. 1300 South, which is just west of Smith’s Ballpark, just before 12:30 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“A man got into a verbal altercation with two men,” the news release said. “Shortly afterwards the two males attacked the victim, threw him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly in the head.”

The suspects then fled on foot, and one was located. Officers booked Tukka Gonne, 20, into jail for fleeing on foot and aggravated assault.
