HERRIMAN, UTAH – May 30, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) A Salt Lake City woman was killed Friday night after a two vehicle collision sent her car through the cement barriers along Mountain View Corridor.

Yesica Ramos, 39, died on impact, and the driver of the second vehicle, Wyatt Horton, 18, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

According to Unified Police Detective Ken Hansen with the Unified Police, Ramos was traveling south on Mountain View Corridor about 5 a.m. when her compact car collided with Horton’s Jeep while she attempted to make a left hand turn onto 13400 South.

As of right now police are still investigating who ran the red light, but said it could take a couple of weeks to make that determination.

Hansen said that speed is a factor on this road because speed limits there are higher than in nearby areas.
