SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — September 23, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The 2016 Utah gymnastics schedule was released Wednesday and the two-time defending Pac-12 champions are scheduled to be making nine network appearances.

Utah’s non-conference regular season schedule will feature home meets against BYU and Georgia which are both scheduled to be televised on the Pac-12 network, as will all six of their Pac-12 Conference competitions and the Pac-12 Championship.

The Huntsman Center, home to the Lady Utes, will host the 2016 NCAA Salt Lake City Regional on Saturday, April 2, 2016 and The NCAA Championships will be held in Fort Worth, Texas on April 15-17, 2016.

The 2016 lady Utes are bringing back nine letter-winners and five All-Americans from last season including seniors Kailah Delaney, Breanna Hughes, Haley Lange and Kassandra Lopez. Junior Baely Rowe and sophomores Kari Lee, Tiffani Lewis, Samantha Partyka and Maddy Stover are also returning this season. Four freshmen will make their Ute debuts this season, Shannon McNatt, MaKenna Merrell, Erika Muhaw and Sabrina Schwab.

Longtime coach Greg Marsden retired last April after leading Utah to a record 40 consecutive national gymnastics championship appearances so the program is now under the directions of co-head coaches, Megan Marsden and Tom Farden.

Former NCAA all-around champion Marsden has been on the Utes coaching staff for 32 seasons; seven of those as co-head coach. Farden, a former head coach at Southeast Missouri State, has spent the last five seasons as Utah’s assistant coach.

Season tickets are on sale now at UtahUtes.com or by calling 801.581.UTIX.

Fans can get their first chance to see the 2016 Utes at the annual Red Rocks Preview on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Admission to the public is free.
