RIVERDALE, Utah, Nov. 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers are on the scene of a fatal crash involving two semi-trucks.
The incident occurred Monday on Interstate 15 northbound at mile marker 339 in the Riverdale area, said a tweet from UHP at 3:20 p.m.
One person has been confirmed deceased, the tweet said.
“One semi was parked on the right shoulder of I-15 and the driver was out at the rear of his semi’s trailer readjusting his load,” said a follow-up tweet from UHP. “A second semi swerved right from the lane next to the parked semi to avoid a crash and impacted the driver and the rear of the parked semi.”
The deceased man has not been identified pending notification of family.
